Welcome to AZ Fear, the premier club in AZ for Boy's Volleyball. We are focused solely on the growth and development of boys volleyball in AZ, as we do not have a girls side of the club. We are very excited about some new upgrades and additions this season.

​This page will help to break down information for our 2022 Fall Season Tryout, and help with most of the questions you might have for the upcoming season. There will also be an opportunity to register in advance at the bottom of this page. We are looking forward to another great year at AZ Fear, and look forward to some great things happening for Arizona volleyball.

About Fear

Established in 2006, Arizona Fear began with the goal of training players with the tools to help them prepare for the next level, and to compete in the highest level of competition in the state.  Now entering our 15th year in the valley, we as a club strive to compete not only in Arizona, but at the national level while preparing athletes for collegiate play.  

Fear began with 3 total teams, and had won only 3 club national bronze medals in its first 10 years;  in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Since 2018, Arizona Fear now has 15 total teams, 20 nationals medals, and more than 90 athletes who have gone on to play at the college level. Tryout Format

**FORMAT FOR PARENT ATTENDANCE- STAGGERED TIMES**

• Parents MUST ATTEND the tryout meeting at the end of each tryout session. Tryout meetings will be done for 15 minutes after the end of age group's tryout. 
• Parents will have to attend parent meeting, to fill out paperwork. 
• Players must enter the gym with all tryout documents prior to trying out. (documents will be loaded onto website soon, and will be posted below).

Tryout times will be staggered, in order to help for a smooth transition and registration. To register, find the age group at the bottom of your page. 

• 15's/16's- 8-9:30 (parent meeting 9:30-9:45)
• 17's/18's- 11-12:30 (parent meeting 12:30-12:45)
• 14 & under- 2-3:30 (parent meeting 3:30-3:45)

Teams will be forming throughout tryouts, and parent meetings will be taking place. Parents, also please bring a form of payment, whether that is cash, check, or paying by card online (online payment will be a tab on website)

Tournament Schedule

Tournaments/Travel Info

• ALL  AZ Fear teams will compete in the Arizona Region Tournaments
• The expectation is that all Arizona Fear travel teams will be attending 4 out of state tournaments, as well as national championships.
• All 5 out of state tournaments this year will be AAU Events. 
• Our travel and regional team fees will be found under "pricing" on this page. 
• 18 JB, 18 BR, 17 TD, 17 SL 16 TS, 16 RM, 15 SB, 15 CU will be considered travel teams. 

PRACTICES

All 15-18s Teams will practice at both AZ Region Facility and Brophy High School.

West Valley 14's- both practices will be at Brophy High School.

East Valley 14's- both practices will be at the Az Region Facility.

The following teams will be considered travel teams, and will follow the pricing outlined below
18 JB, 18 BR, 17 TD, 17 SL, 16 TS, 16 RM, 15 SB, 15 CU

Regional Teams

18 DT, 17 CA, 16 JM, 15 TBD, 14 EC, 14 MO

Tryout & Start Up Fees

There is a nonrefundable $10.00 tryout fee.  If your son makes a team, you will be responsible for paying the start-up fee, and setting up the remaining season's monthly dues. 

Depending on the team you make, at tryouts you are committing to either the entire fall season (August-December), or for the entire club season (August 2022-July 2023). If you are committing to the club season, there will be a season contract at tryouts which will outline the cost breakdown/commitment. For a full breakdown of season dues, please click here.

UNIFORMS

Arizona Fear is moving forward with Imperial Point & Slunks for the uniforms this year. All players will receive two jerseys, two pair of shorts, long sleeve, and a custom backpack.
