Welcome to Arizona Fear Volleyball Club, the leading club for boys’ volleyball in Arizona. We are dedicated exclusively to the growth, development, and advancement of boys’ volleyball throughout The Valley.
This page has been designed to provide clear, detailed information regarding our 2026 Fall Season Tryouts. Here, you will find important dates, answers to frequently asked questions, and essential details to help you prepare for the upcoming season. At the bottom of this page, you will also find an opportunity to complete your advance registration.

About Fear

Established in 2006, Arizona Fear began with the goal of training players with the tools to help them prepare for the next level, and to compete in the highest level of competition. Now entering our 20th year in the valley, we as a club have established ourselves as the home of elite boys volleyball players in Arizona.

AZ Fear began with 3 total teams, and had won only 3 club national bronze medals in its first 10 years;  in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Since 2018, Arizona Fear now has 40+ national-level medals, and more than 115+ athletes who have gone on to play at the college level. 2025/2026 Recap

Huge thanks to everyone who made last season such an incredible success! A big THANK YOU goes out to all the players, families, and coaches who gave it their all and made it another strong year. Once again, our club showed why we’re the top of Boys Volleyball in The Valley! 

AZ Regional Championships and National Tournament Finishes 

Arizona Region Championships: 3 Gold (15 Black, 16 Black, 18 Black), 2 Silver (14 Black, 17 Black), and 1 Bronze (17 Blue)

Tryout Format

**PARENT ATTENDANCE REQUIRED AT END OF TRYOUTS** (STAGGERED TIMES)

• Parents MUST ATTEND the tryout meeting at the end of each tryout session. Tryout meetings will be done at the end of age group's tryout. 
• Parents will have to attend parent meeting, to fill out paperwork. 
• Players must enter the gym with the following​​ 
  • Proof of USAV Membership
  • Tryout Payment

Tryout times will be staggered, in order to help for a smooth transition and registration. To register, find the age group at the bottom of this page.

TRYOUT TIME- 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM

17s/18s 
WHO- 17's & 18's (all high school age)
WHERE- Court One Athletics or AZ Hype (Fear West Only)
WHEN- Saturday, August 15th
REGISTRATION TIME- 9:00 AM-9:30 AM
TRYOUT TIME- 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
PARENT MEETINGS- start at 11:00 am (PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND)

14 & Under
WHO- 14's (all 8th graders and below)
WHERE- Court One Athletics
WHEN- Saturday, August 15th
REGISTRATION TIME- 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM
TRYOUT TIME- 12:30 PM- 1:30 PM
PARENT MEETINGS - ​Start at 1:30 PM  (PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND)

Teams will be forming throughout tryouts, and parent meetings will be taking place. Parents, also please bring a form of payment, whether that is cash, check, or paying by card online (online payment will be a tab on website)

PRACTICES

​Practice locations are based on where your athlete's team is formed.
​

• Teams formed at Court One Tryouts will practice twice per week—one practice at Court One and one practice at Brophy.​
  ​
• Teams formed at the AZ Hype Tryout will practice twice per week at AZ Hype.​

Pricing Breakdowns

Full Travel Teams will participate in AZ Region Tournaments, The Reckoning, Winter Formal, The Open Championship, The Showcase, and JVA Boys Nationals

Tryout & Start Up Fees

There is a nonrefundable $20.00 tryout fee.  If your son makes a team, you will be responsible for paying the start-up fee, and setting up the remaining season's monthly dues. 

Depending on the team you make, at tryouts you are committing to either the entire fall season (August 2026-January 2027), or for the entire club season (August 2026-July 2027). If you are committing to the club season, there will be a season contract at tryouts which will outline the cost breakdown/commitment. For a full breakdown of season dues, please click here.

UNIFORMS

Arizona Fear is moving forward with Lost Traveler for our uniforms this year. All players will receive two jerseys, two pair of shorts, polo, long sleeve warm up  and a Lost Traveler backpack.
