Season is now upon us, which is marked by our first official tournament day, saturday, September 24th. with this comes certain questions and concerns, which is only natural. Click Here for the link to the arizona Region Boys Tournament Info Page, which gives a simple breakdown for where each team will be playing, and how they are seeded within their pools, which we posted an image of below Q&AHow long does the tournament go for?
Tournament starts at 9:00 am, and the end time depends entirely on how long each match goes. for example, one pool could have each match go to 3 sets, resulting in longer match times, which can alter the "rough" start times for the next match. typically the days go until 5pm, and no longer than 7pm. How is the tournament formatted? The tournament is formatted to begin play at 9:00 am, and the coaches will typically communicate what time the team should arrive. The play schedule will be posted at a tournament info desk by the main entrances inside each facility, which will give a rough play schedule for each team in the pool. For divisions 1-7, pool play will be followed by a single elimination cross pool match, determining what place the team will be for the next tournament. for divisions 1-6, The top 4 teams in each division move up, and eh bottom 4 will move down. In Division 7, these teams will play on the lower net height, so these teams will not change division, only ranking. What can I bring in terms of food/Chairs/Camps? For each of the playing locations, food is permitted to be eaten outside, with nothing besides water brought inside the facility. Parents are welcome to bring coolers and pop-up tents, which can be used outside in between games. For Spiral, Aspire, Court One, and Kingdom Courts, each facility has viewing areas, with bleachers surrounding the courts. What is the Address for where my athlete is playing?
