H.S. Playoff Berths- Fear Athletes and Coaches

Congratulations to all of the coaches at FVC on their playoff berths, and special thanks to all of the athletes who made that possible. This season head coaches Kyle Brainard, Troy Dueling, Tony Oldani made it into the Division I playoff bracket, and head coach Nick Price made it into the Division II playoff bracket.
     Each bracket fields 16 total teams leading up to the state final, which is on May 14th, 2016 at Mesquite High School. The Division I match will be at 6:30, and Division II match will be at 4:15.
     In the first round of Division I, on May 7th, Tony and Kyle will battle it out at O'Connor High School, seeing who makes it into the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, if Boulder Creek (#2) wins its first match, they will meet the winner of O'Connor (#7) vs. Brophy (#10) in the quarterfinals, with Boulder Creek being the host school. In the Division I bracket, Seton Catholic enters as the favorite, taking the overall #1 seed, playing Sunrise Mountain (#16) in the first round.  Best of luck to all of the Fear coaches and athletes in the post-season!
 DIVISION I

• Boulder Creek (#2), Head Coach: Troy Dueling

Boulder Creek is led by 4 18 White players, including setter Andrew deLeon, outside hitter Liam Santa Cruz, opposite Bryce Whitman, and libero Grady O'Neil. Other starters are 17 White players, including outside hitter Patrick Ross, as well as middle blockers Ryan Serrano and Cooper Salmen.. 

• Sandra Day O'Connor (#7) Head Coach: Kyle Brainard

Sandra Day is led by 18 White setter Ian Fields, opposite James Yahner, and middle blocker Caelan Huffman. Other starting fear players include 18 Blue middle blocker Taimoor Faizi, and libero Dennis Strieter, and 16 White outside hitter Daniel Chelminski and outside hitter Parker Broadway . Other players include outside hitter Dominic Chelminski and middle blocker Freddy Spittler. 

• Brophy Preparatory (#10), Head Coach: Tony Oldani

Brophy Preparatory is led by 3 18 White players,  middle blocker Fred Miller, outside hitter Adam Randolph, and libero Connor Nagaki. Other fear players include 17 White's libero Jacob Chavez, opposites Sean Evens and Keith Gross, as well as middle blocker Tommy McGrath. From 16 White, other starters include setter Connor Dunn, and outside hitter Nate Thompson.
