Growing Arizona Volleyball: Spiral and Fear Join Forces

8/7/2016

Since 2012, only two clubs in Arizona have been named AZ Region Champions in the 18’s Division; Arizona Fear and Spiral Volleyball Club. In 2014, Spiral won an Open Boys Junior Nationals Championship under Director Molly Stark; Spiral was also the runner-up in the club Division in 2015. In this same time frame, AZ Fear won two Region Championships and three Club Division Bronze Medals.
In the Fall of 2016, both of these powerhouse programs will join forces for boys, closing the gap between North Valley Fear VBC, and Spiral (boys program only) in the East Valley. This opportunity will create the ultimate competitive environment.  Players will train with top players from across the state, and all players will benefit from the high-level coaching that both clubs provide.
So how does this affect your athlete? Tryouts for both the travel and regional teams will be held and formed at both locations.  Travel Teams will compete in out-of-state tournaments/qualifiers multiple times within the club season, and will practice at Kingdom Courts, as well as the Spiral Volleyball Facility. Regional Teams will compete in the region tournaments as well as the Holiday Classic in December (Anaheim, California), and will practice solely on their own sides of town.
Our mission in this transition is to create a boys club that can consistently compete at the highest level on the National stage. We are excited about this new journey, which we feel will help immensely elevate the level of competition for Arizona Boys Volleyball.
